Sonic the Hedgehog is not the first character stemming from another games series to appear in a console Puyo Puyo title, that title would have to go to Owlbear from Wizard Lulba in general and Ellena Stevens from Broadway Legend Ellena for strictly playable characters.

Although it is somewhat late, we would like to pay our respects to
Yasuyuki Sano, the CV of Severio in Puyo Quest, along with others in the video game and anime industries. He passed away Feburary 5th of this year, and we hope those close to him are doing well in this time.
