I need help.
So I'm building some engineers from the 299th Combat Engineer Battalion and I'm trying to find out if they wore helmet markings and how they looked during D-day. I know the Naval Beach Battalions had them during the invasion to separate them from regular troops.

This was a good read. Gives you an overview of the entire battle from both allies and germans. A lot of information about the drama between the chain of command. Mentions plenty of events that happend but very briefly. But gives you a taste to read more in depth
