Sonic The Hedgehog: Tangle & Whisper #3
How dare Ian Flynn keep making Sonic Forces cooler. Whisper's got an A+ tragic backstory, highlighted by her finally using a normal dialogue balloon. Tangle's an S tier girlfriend for fighting back her own claustrophobia to understand her.
Eternity Girl #6
Powerful end to a high-concept story. I love how all of existence will be be collateral in Caroline's suicide, but Dani only cares about helping her friend. "We're all just wave functions." "Everyone gets to decide what sort of pattern they want to be."
Exiles #1 (2018)
Wonderful revival of the Marvel's multiversal saviors. I'm glad Blink found family in the main universe, grizzled Kamala Kahn is cool, & it's nice to see Iron Lad back. Panels "falling" as worlds die is great, and the Time Eater's reveal is creepy & imposing.
Pokemon Adventures: Mysterious Mew
This is a nice introduction to the world of Pokemon. Red already being a somewhat knowledgeable trainer is neat, and him getting stomped is a good way to start his journey. The art's cute & goofy, but the battles still look impactful & cool.
JLA/Titans #3
Fantastic end to this love story to all things Titans. Beast Boy telling Cyborg "LET GO OF THE FRIKKIN' MOON!" is iconic. I think describing the Titans as a family, but the League as a team is a bit sterile, but I still like it. The last panel brings big emotions
Amazing Spider-Man #679 "I Killed Tomorrow: Part 2"
People have described this as a fantastic time travel story with no actual time travel. They aren't wrong. Humberto Ramos always draws top tier Spideys, and I love that Peter understands how important the smallest action can be
@AnneComics Spider-Man, Flash, Anti-Venom, and Duela Dent. If they stopped fighting each other long enough, I bet they could more than give Doctor Doom a run for his money.
Dick, she had a fortune cookie with a riddle about an unmasked superhero not only sent directly to your table, but directly to you. It really took being unmasked to make you think she knows your identity?
After countless millennia of "I'll get to it eventually", I have finally beaten TWEWY. I never want to look at another touchscreen for as long as I live. I loved it.
