💕✨ lovestruck !! ✨💕
I wanted to draw my oc super cute and sparkling! 💖 I hope you like it! 🌸🌷
A little updated WIP 💛✨💕🌸 still got a lot to do but I'm liking it so far !! https://t.co/ehUYJfG19y
I like to add a little blue on the whites just so they don't look flat!! 💛✨🌸 https://t.co/Y5j0oaQS64
I've been super sick today 💕✨🌸💖
Here's a WIP of a little personal piece I'm working on 💛 I love doing galaxy eyes!
As you can see I adapted or simplified certain design elements to suit the new style and to make it easier to turn into a costume! 💛✨
All that's left is to neaten it up and repeat these steps for the back and sides!
I hope this thread helped 💕🌸 https://t.co/npMAPr0QuW
When designing any costume it's important to ask "how will I achieve that?" When designing anything
Will I need to add onto my budget? Or learn a new technique?
If you can't answer that, it may be best not to add that particular element! 🌸💖 https://t.co/j3bgaGH6Wy
Because this design will be worn, it's important to simplify small areas of design and reuse colours wherever possible
For example, in order for both eyebrows to be visible on the costume, I needed to adapt their size and placement! 💛✨
( I hope these mini lessons help ) https://t.co/4t8bXZOixj
Whenever I'm adapting a characters style I always keep in mind the key components of the design and then apply my desired proportions
for example, the heart shaped paws are integral to the design, however I'm making them flat to the paw instead of protruding! Etc etc 💕💛 https://t.co/91Kh2hg9Da
Another lil update! 💛✨ I like to do my lineart and flat colours at the same time! I figure out how I was my lineart to go and then adapt my initial sketched in colours to fit!
I feel like this gives me better control of the character as I'm not stuck colouring within lines https://t.co/Ju3YR8kmIm
A little update!! 💕✨ I always start my lineart and my colouring at the eyes! I'm not sure why.. I feel like they give the drawing life! 💛 https://t.co/peW20j6Ax7
