1990 saw "The New Adventures of He-Man" which took He-Man and Skeletor to a new sci-fi planet named Primus and a drastically different art-style. Skeletor played second fiddle to a new villain named Flogg.
@ToughPigs Since we’re getting a new Fraggle Rock series maybe we can discuss the classic book “Best Friends.” Because it’s so subtle…
@Comrade_Bullski Englehart also created Shadowman for Valiant and I always thought it was wild that he created not one but two nocturnal vigilantes who were also saxophone players within a two year period.
@Comrade_Bullski My favorite Malibu comic was Sergio Aragones and Mark Evanier’s “The Mighty Magnor”miniseries. Still my all time favors superhero parody. Also a great satire of the early 90s comics boom.
@DanSlott I’m reminded of that book “Incarnate”that extensively swiped form the manga Bleach at a time when Bleach was literally the most popular comic in North America.
@efvdpodcast @tonygoldmark @BriannaCherry @Teatraybat1 @thegreatlukeski You barely touched upon it in the show but it's crazy to think that the Mighty Ducks cartoon was actually made as star vehicle for Wild Wing the Anaheim Ducks mascot.
If Fantagraphics continues the line I hope they reprint Boom Studios Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers comics in this format. Also the 1990 Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers comic is a lot of fun. @biryanifan @fantagraphics
Some commissioned Disney fan-art for #Pride that @NTBKompy did for me.
Gadget stands for everyone's rights though now that I think about it she's never shown much interest in boys...
