OK, so I LOVED Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. But it's the kind of movie that only could have been made in the "anything goes" decade of the '80s. The closest thing in comparison is The Muppet Movie.

It is a weird weird WEIRD nonsense film and I enjoyed every second of it.

Sometimes I feel like the Joes don't even need to get outta bed. Even if left completely alone, Cobra would find a way to defeat itself.

So the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon was declared non-canon even before the Disney buyout, but there's referenced stuff in there the 2008 series didn't redo, like Ventress's duel with Anakin or Grievous kidnapping Palpatine.

Are PARTS of it canon or are there just narrative gaps, now?

Wayne Reynolds' original designs for the sky pirates from the 2017 My Little Pony movie vs. what made it into the film.

Those original designs in no way, shape or form adhere to the MLP aesthetic, but they're pretty awesome regardless.
