This 15th c. sculpted head of the Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven was found thrown in a waste pit outside the city walls. It was probably pulled off part of the church , attacked directly in the face and then thrown outside. 1534 riots in Zürich were part of the Iconoclastic Fury
