I adore the artwork in Tales of Rebirth when you enter a new town. They are just so damn pretty to look at.

I'm honestly surprised Tales haven't done this style again (as far as I can tell). Because this is a great concept!

Yet are still incredibly memorable or amazing characters.
They're both a side character and a main character.

I feel like Tales of Symphonia's Yggdrasill & Pronyma falls into this style. Maybe not all the way, but has that vibe.

Hey, it's the theme of one of the best antagonists in the entire Tales series.
'Cruel' is a very fitting word for him.
