We also have yet to meet them, but Phaedra’s got a crew of friends and confidants who shared her unfortunate fate - including the cutest ghost dog I could possibly create. They are all precious, and I can’t wait to introduce them in the next chapter. SOON.

Her task evolves into a vast journey across the haunted sea on her ship, the Mantaluna. On her way, she crosses paths with a multitude of souls, both living and dead - among them a sweet little boy named Pavel, cursed by a seaghost’s bite, but still fascinated by the dead...

Phaedra is as stubborn as she is sweet - poised and proper, but a capable swordfighter and strategist. Her challenge to Cheth is successful, but the death god abuses a loophole, trapping her as a conscious, blue-haired, very-salty seaghost, along with the rest of her loyal crew.

Cheth now acts as the final judge of all souls - lord of the haunted sea and demonic king of the dead. Without a proper body to call his own, he has adopted a pair of twins - one male, one female - to act as his main human form(s). Why? ...Why choose if you don’t have to? 😈😈

Ghosts! Hungry seaghosts, dead-eyed and emotionless, cursed to eternal starvation in the depths of the sea. Anything that passes beyond the Lighthouse Road without protection is doomed to be bitten and drained of life. Everyone fears them... but only the brave dare to pity them.
