@jalachan Yeah, the repetitive gameplay and barebones plot just to justify crossover doesn’t do it many favors to draw people in unless they happen to be very fond of the characters.
I suppose that’s why both Hyrule Warriors 2 and FEW 2 are more focused lore games.

@jalachan That was the year all three leaders won the popularity contest, so they went with the plot thread of all of them from the ends of their own routes getting to meet each other.

I guess the companion cube would also count as an example of that? Play testers were just leaving the cube behind not getting the point of the chamber was to take the cube with you for the entire thing, so they made a unique cube and a made big deal of escorting it.

Niðavellir; the steampunk aesthetic is mostly in their mounts, so there’s not much about their outfits that makes me go “ah, this is so Niðavellir”.
