I noticed it when I drew my most recent self portrait, in 2022 where I used ballpoint pens over the interview notes for my current job, and one completed last week where I'm caustically melting/turning into goop.

I start every art book with a self portrait.

I noticed today that in almost every self portrait I obscure/disfigure my face with something all the way back to before I graduated. Only in two or three can you see my whole face!
