Azumarill - Cutey that adds type and color diversity
Vespiquen - Is bros with Ivy so I wanted a Sinnoh mon to connect her to that region
She ain’t a trainer so her mons help around the house

Brenin and his team. He’s a Hugh kid so of course he has a Liepard. Other than that, he stays in Unova, so I felt no need to give him non Unova Poks

I stand very firm on the idea that gameverse Drew would be an Ace Trainer. Cause you can’t convince me the similarity wasn’t deliberate (yes I’m aware it’s more likely Drew was based on the OG Hoenn Ace Trainer, but the remake makes the similarity even more striking)

Proof Darcel’s design isn’t actually 100% random, since I had decided his dad looked like the Male Veteran before I designed him.

As for the perceived age difference between his parents...it’s accurate. Although 30s is the age I tend to peg Mason at when he marries Perrine
