As far as artistic influences go, my RPG gods are Otus, Trampier & DiTerlizzi. Out of those three, it was @TonyDiTerlizzi that defined an entire generation of the game for me, not only with Planescape, but with the D&D itself. I geek out over his work more than any other.

2E D&D APPRECIATION POST - Jeff Easley is pretty much the defining artist of 2E Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. He did the covers for the big 3 core books, plus tons of illustrations like this (which originally appeared on the cover of Dragon Magazine). Easley... what a wizard!
