Some Fact about creating Mikasa Ackerman by Hajime Isayama:
Second Name “Ackerman” appeared because of one quote Isayama heard. It says: If the main character of the manga is named after one of the warships, the series will be a success. And Isayama chose the ship "Mikasa".
