Last year our Writer in Residence, Adrian Harris, worked with school children to create artworks and poems inspired by the museum’s collection. This image of two dolphins who met in a whirlpool inspired Adrian’s accompanying poem.

An online exhibition will be coming soon.

Our current temporary exhibition, Art in Focus: The Lady in Green, invited visitors to practice their drawing skills by creating a self-portrait.

Whilst our doors have been closed, we challenged our team and their families to create their own. We think they are quite good!

We have lots of Under 5's activities for you and your little ones to enjoy whilst spending some more time indoors this winter. Visit our Museum from Home pages to sing songs, learn BSL signs, colour-in pictures and create sensory crafts.

This study of Euphemia Lamb, estranged wife of the artist Henry Lamb, was painted in Snowdonia. Augustus John was working there in the company of James Dickson Innes and Derwent Lees.
