Josh Heaps, of Salt Lake City, Utah, to a modern and color approach to his Pops Art submission! The fun pops of colors bring this Pops Art to life! Thanks, Josh, for sharing this with us!
Art takes many forms & perhaps one of the best examples of that was Philip Sink’s submission made out of Lego! He designed the sculpture out of Lego with reference to Matt Dempsey’s musculature reconstruction & Andrey Atuchin’s reconstruction of Pops’ skull. Amazing work, Philip
While most artists took pen to paper (or paint to paper), Alecia Brown used resin, tissue paper, vinyl and mica power to create her artwork. Amazing, Alecia! For the Brown family, the Pops Art Contest was a family affair as Trevor and Nolan also submitted artwork! Thanks!
Thanks to Karolina Twardosz for entering this fun digital art piece in the 19+ category for the Pops Art Contest.
Tonight kicks off the 99th Annual @GreeleyStampede with @PRCA_ProRodeo Xtreme Bulls. So we decided to get in on the action and wish all the riders good luck...you're gonna need it!
After paleo artist @AndreyAtuchin completes the 3D modeling of Pops’ skull, he sculpts the head. He adds all the soft tissues, muscles, keratin ornaments, beak and horns. Then, he uses this sculpture as reference for the actual artwork as he draws Pops into a prehistoric scene.
Pretty cool image of the actual Pops fossil overlaid on the the 3D model paleo artist @AndreyAtuchin created for the artwork!
