And these were the two pixel art pieces I did in 2015 that made me decide to drop out of my school where I was studying graphic design and printmaking, and switch to a Game Art degree.
A bunch of people asked for a breakdown on my thatch roof pieces so I made a quick little breakdown. It's more of a workflow guide than a complete tutorial, and assumes some knowledge about Zbrush and Substance Painter
All I did to get these two different results was change the scale of the cells input
Here's some screengrabs of the stuff in the video that I got to make! I made all of the floating orbs and grounded mossy orbs, and the large hanging ivy kit you can see in the distance.
