Just got it to the stage where it can generate a planet and then choose points on that planet to render scenes from and it'll look somewhat cohesive

today I made a weird procedurally generated landscape that you can just walk through forever
there are a few things going on here but the core concept is using two layers of fractal perlin noise to index into colored voronoi noise (here's an example with the pregenerated voronoi image at the upper left)
