Finished. Will try to paint opals again tomorrow. I have never done acid but I’ve stared into a gemstone for waaaay too long to arrive at this trippy image 🥴👽

Okaaaaay I added a second layer, a bit more structure. Still one more to go, I simultaneously hate painting opals and love painting them. A lot of gems are shapeshifters but these guys? They’ve got way too much going on inside, good luck catching it all. 🥴

I literally woke up one day and said to myself, “I’ll just paint as many faces as I can as fast as I can and see what happens!” That was about a week ago and life will never be the same.

Like…I feel really proud of what I’ve accomplished so far and I’m not even at my peak yet.
