Since I joined @Twitter a couple of years back, I think I might have blocked as many people as I follow.
It isn't especially personal, I just don't have the time to engage in soul-destroying debate with people who speak utter drivel.
This summarises perfectly the insanity of the moment.
The establishment is more concerned about challenges to its powerbase than the end of the world as we know it.
I think it is becoming clear now that we are not in the Anthropocene, but in the Capitalocene.
It's not a species that's the problem, but the political-economic system imposed upon it by an elite driven by greed, short-term profit and a complete disregard for everything else.
Under capitalism there is no planning.
Our future is as much a gamble as the turn of a card, the throw of a dice - will stock rise or fall? will a brand thrive or fail? will the coffee crop be good or bad?
For the sake of those who come after us, this insane system must go.
