Mon Weisinger says in his 1933 column ‘The Ether Vibrates’ in Science Fiction Digest: "The July [1933] cover of the same mag [Amazing, signed as by Sigmond] was a composite of the work of three or four different artists, Morey tells me”
It seems obvious that Sigmond’s covers were associated with a desire to reduce printing costs, for one used only a blue plate, others only blue and red; only one cover applied full three-color printing.
Whoever they paid to copy this was apparently not confident in his ability to paint her arm, so he didn't.
Oddly, Change Partners (1963) is 4 years later than Suburban Sin (1959), which makes me think there is an unknown third book both are ripping off
