PPPP Trivia:
Ess’ replay sprite in the first Puyo Puyo Tetris, is an edit of one of her manzai sprites, now holding her umbrella.
PPPP Trivia:
A design quirk shared by the Primp Magic School students, is that they have their schools’ wing symbol somewhere on their person.
As of Puyo Puyo 7 and carried into 20th onwards, Amitie no longer has said symbol as part of her standard design. Likely a oversight.
PPPP Trivia:
Nasu Grave has the distinction of being the only character to have appeared in a non-mobile SEGA Puyo game, yet not having an icon in either Champions or Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.
The characters introduced in PPT1 lacked icons in Champions, but recieved ones for PPT2.
PPPP Trivia:
Both Puyo Puyo Fever games recieved special christmas art, of it’s main protagonists.
While both Amitie and Sig have since gotten christmas themed alts in Quest, Raffina has yet to recieve one herself.
A new, official Puyo Puyo Champions artwork for tournaments and the new VS Puyo Puyo Sun art by Ichi, are now in the archive.
PPPP Trivia:
Pocket Puyo Puyo Sun has cards depicting Jaan, Mandrake, Momomo and Panotty, in a style similar to the board art for the playable cast.
Whether they were planned for either version of Sun or these are just cameos for the sake of it, is unknown.
PPPP Trivia:
In Puyo Puyo Fever, Arle has blue eyes, instead of her usual brown eyes and her armor is green, instead of blue.
This design quirk is unique to Fever and has been reversed in Fever 2 and 15th Anniversary.
Puyo Puyo Fever and Champions character art has been added to the archive.
You can find it in the new Game Art folder. The Fever 2, 15th Anni. and PP7 art has also been moved there.
