Had a thought considering the other Amaru species around the world:

it wouldn't make sense for them all to be called 'Amaru' (since that's a Peruvian term) so I figured they'd all be colloquially referred to as creatures from mythology, based on wherever they live

thoughts?

that along with the fact that they're aqua blue vs the darker royal blue of the forest types, it really shows that they put thought into making them look related but still evolved to their new environment

instead of just sticking fish fins on a mammal and calling it a day

in case anyone has questions about it later:

Grassland Southern Amaru are typically yellow with the dark parts being a dull gray/brown. the main point of the redesign was cus Steam was a bit TOO yellow last time and it didn't make sense how they'd go from dark gray to yellow

Did I NEED to make an updated ref of Bolero's future partners and children, as well as a slight tweak of her design for a full page spread like this?
