In this letter to R. Ferryman Jenner describes himself as ‘Vaccine Clerk to the World’ & talks of ‘the incalculable happiness the world derives from my labours.’ Along with the letter, Jenner sent two ivory needles ‘dipped in vaccine’ for him to use as he saw fit!
