Mighty Bomb Jack by Tecmo for the #NES (1992). Enjoyable sequel to Bomb Jack featuring colourful graphics plus good gameplay & music. Overall, Doesn't stand out just as much as the original title but also certainly worth trying out here for its mix of styles. #retrogaming
Puggsy by Psygnosis/Traveller's Tales for the #MegaDrive (1993/94). Enjoyable puzzle-platform title starring the alien character once you work out the control method & unique gameplay style, That is. Features pretty decent graphics & music as well. #Sega #retrogaming
F-Zero for the #SNES (1992). Great futuristic racing title that started this memorable game series. The graphics & music still stand out a lot along with the addictive gameplay. Another one that's easy to get into but very tough to master as well. #Nintendo #Racing #retrogaming
Frankie Goes to Hollywood by Ocean Software for the #C64 (1985). Unique adventure puzzle title based on the eighties band that's worth trying out. More to it than a lot of similar games at the time with its various minigames but a bit too obscure for my liking. #retrogaming
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for the #Sega #MasterSystem (1992). Certainly prefer the MegaDrive game by a fair distance over this. Still, They did a great job with the graphical style plus platforming elements. Could've made it a lot easier to progress through though. #Sonic #Retrogaming
Hard Drivin' by Domark/Tengen for the #C64 (1989). Easily the worst home version of the Atari arcade driving/racing game. Not one you'd want to endure for too long with its awful controls/slow pace. Loading screen graphics & music aren't bad so only positives there. #retrogaming
Earthworm Jim 2 for the MegaDrive by Shiny Entertainment/Virgin Interactive (1995). Entertaining sequel with much of the same gameplay humour as before. Still prefer the first game more so as this has more frustrating sections in places but fun overall. #Megadrive #retrogaming
Dragon's Curse by Hudson Soft for the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 (1990/91). Basically the same as Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon's Trap with some graphical changes. Still, The gameplay is just as good as the Master System/ Game Gear versions so definitely worth playing too. #retrogaming
Populous by EA/Bullfrog Productions for the Master System (1991). Enjoyable strategy title described as one of the first god type games. Takes a little while to get used to with the isometric layout & various options but has a fair amount of depth once you do. #Sega #retrogaming
Aerial Assault for the Master System (1990). Reasonably basic but entertaining horizontal scrolling shooter game. Another one that lets you progress a little further on each attempt. Three difficulty modes plus a good range of power-ups as well. #Sega #MasterSystem #retrogaming
