As a warm up for #CampNano in July, I tried to do more character illustration. Gotta work on getting that finished lineart, but otherwise these were coming along pretty well for sketches!

So March started with a good attempt at #DailyDoodles and more painting/illustration, as well as venturing back into some character illustration and pose practice. But everything started to fall off the wagon because I got a phone call about some part-time work!

JANUARY

I was still job hunting at the start of the year, so I ended up committing to three art goals to help me out:

#DailyDoodle (Draw something every day, regardless how good/bad)
#FUNdamentals (Get back to design basics!)
#VisualLibrary (Gather ideas and inspo!)

It's been aaaaaaages but I wanted to try and paint something before the end of the year. Very very incomplete, but hopefully I'll come back and finish it tomorrow/today properly!

It's #VisibleWomen day again? I'm RachaelW, an illustrator/designer. I tend to focus on detailed objects like fruit and vegetables, but meddle in all kinds of things.

#Inktober2019 Day 6 – Husky

(Still playing catchup)

The ghostly pup looks very lonely in the forest, all alone. But the look in its bright, glowing eyes suggests that going anywhere near those strange rings on the forest floor would be a bad idea.

Onwards it is.

@LeeshaHannigan ahhhh there's too many. But top four: I'm really please with how the Red Veggies turned out, a value study/practice of Jimin, the cane basket in a commission for a friend, and the digital painting practice of the chocolates.

I can't believe all of these are still from 2019 😱
