@wafflesOmega Takahiro Kimura's work includes more than just Code Geass
He also did character designs for GaoGaiGar, GunXSword, and Godannar. To say his signature style is a favorite amongst mecha fans would be an undertstatement
If I can name one artist in the anime industry that I always admired and deeply respected, it's gotta be Kimura. He's got a signature style that always fits whatever mecha anime he's worked on
The fact that he's gone now before he even reached 60, is honestly heartbreaking
Still interesting that in-universe, King-Ohger is the name of the mecha, not the team
Would be interesting if later on they decided to adopt King-Ohger as the name of their team once the core five are united
New characters introduced in Dogengers: Metropolis
Hyaktoban (CV: Shion Tsuchiya)
Timid police officer Jun Shiraishi, wearing a special armor developed by the Metropolitan Police Department's Special Affairs Division
Shozo Iizuka passed away on 15th of February, age 89
He was unquestionably a legend, having started his career since the 60's
When I think of Iizuka, these characters comes to mind
Rest in peace
While Ishinomori did create a lot of the things for Kamen Rider, he's not always the one behind everything. Some of the later monsters and other visual elements such as the iconic Tachibana Racing Club logo were Takahashi's
Condolences to his family and loved ones https://t.co/e4gDJJh3V8
Honest opinion on fanservice?
These counts as fanservice, right?
Mazinger Z Infinity Ver, (2018) and Mazinger ZEST (2023)
I can say with confidence I preferred ZEST's more subdued mechanical details
They both took cues on different Mazingers, but the mechanical detail usage really makes a difference
