AND pretty strong too given how many times other characters are surprised by her strength.

Even Knuckles acknowledge her in the animation of Sonic Origins.

One of Amy's better aspects has always been how she selflessly cares more about Sonic's well being and happiness, even if it means renouncing her own.

Sonic X's 9th episode is a good example of this, as it's used to show how both characters care for each other.
