Husband brought home some pawpaw fruit that was past its prime. I’ve tried saving the seeds and stratifying with no luck, so I’m taking a different approach. I planted the whole rotting fruit. I’m gonna leave it alone and see what happens. Who knows?

Its rainy, 57° , I am wearing a light sweater, I am drinking a pumpkin spice latte, we are headed to the park with drawing books and all is right with the world.

Finished. Not gonna lie, I struggled to paint this...I’m still feeling out of practice from not painting for about three years, I’m not 100% satisfied with how this turned out but I feel like I went to war with it and didn’t lose. Practice practice practice.

One of my older paintings popped up in my Facebook memories. This was from before I was into occulty shit and I was still a Christian at that point but it’s interesting that the imagery was already popping up in my work.

If there’s one thing I wish I known when I was starting out, it’s that a deep relationship with one or two herbs (even if it’s just garden variety mint or sage) is worth more than a hundred jars of dried herbs that you ordered off the internet and have no connection to.
