Beyond the Breach #1
Vanessa is driving away from her problems when, all of the sudden, there are monsters everywhere. An absolute blast, this was packed with blood, horror, comedy & fantastic dialogue. A page turner that I wish didn't end. One of my favorite #1's of the year.

We learn about Juan's father as Juan continues to hide. I absolutely love the writing. Easy to follow with with so many tense/thrilling moments in a single issue. An unforgettable story that reminds me why comics are so great. Must read for all comic book fans.

Canto & the City of Giants #3
Canto tries to get Ferro's horn to free his friends. Solid finale issue overall. This quick arc sets up more to come than the story offers. This world is growing & some huge things are coming for Canto. Really loving how these new stories connect.

Stray Dogs #5
The dog days are over. This series is perfect. From the art to the dark twists, this is everything I could want in a comic. This story (contrary to the cute art) is not a cute, happy tale. Each issues improves on the previous. One of the best comics of the year.

The Eighth #5
The team takes on a Sage & continues their journey as David slips further into becoming the 8th. Another great issue with amazing art. The ending & the foreshadowing of what David sees is so awesome. These characters can be brutal. Cant wait to see what lies ahead.

The Eighth Immortal #1
There have always been 7 Immortals to walk the Earth, until now. This was a wild ride with insanely awesome colors & art. I'm really interested to see where this goes. There was a ton of great backstory & I'm looking forward to more character progression.

Department of Truth #2
Cole gets deeper into the department. The art really grew on me this issue. I love the creepy imagery. The story did not. I wanted to be excited about this story but its just not interesting to me & seemingly has no main plot. This will be it for me.

Batman: The Man Who Laughs
Early Batman has his 1st battle with the Joker. The art by @TheDougMahnke, especially with the Joker, is incredible. The detective detail & story are intriguing. A different rendition of a Joker origin that I really enjoyed. Recommended Bat-read.

Saga #49-#54
Big things happen here. Most of the characters come together & not all of them come out. This was shocking & will change a ton going forward. Wow. I'm so glad I've read this & I highly recommend it for comic readers. This is one I will not forget. So ready for more.

Invasion from Planet Wrestletopia #4
New wrestlers introduced, more great backstory and more fun. Another great issue. I know nothing about wrestling and I am enjoying the hell outta this. Just shows what good writing can do. I could see this being such a fun Netflix show/movie.
