yes hello #AnimalArtistsUnite, I'm making an epic Dieselpunk-Fantasy graphic novel. Coming in 2021!
Imagine the aeronautic world of Miyazaki's Nausicaä, Indiana Jones-style treasure hunt, and the friendship theme of Terminator 2, and you've got "WYIT".

Thanks for the shares and supportive feedback on this year's Christmas Truce image, everyone. Here's the drawing time-lapse, excellent new feature in @clipstudiopaint https://t.co/FzOYN4U5o0
And here's last year's World War 1 Christmas Truce illustration.
Keep an out out for 2020's, SOON!
My WW1 Christmas Truce illustrations from 2017 and 2018.
I switched to ClipStudioPaint here. Started getting into heavier inking; 2017's was sketchier and kinda Bill Watterson influenced. We see a lllllittle more deliberate shape language in 2018's inks.
Recent art tradition of mine is doing a WW1 Christmas Truce illustration every December. Will be delivering 2020's here soon, but let's take a trip back to the start, see how far it's come.
Here's 2015 and 16's.
Villeneuve's DUNE will be great. He's a solid storyteller.
But I'm sad about the missed opportunity for epic, maximalist color & costume design (Oakley gloves on Fremen? r u 4 REAL?!) Matt Rhodes had some good DUNE ideas influenced by Tarsem Singh (The Fall, The Cell, Immortals)

I'm making an epic fantasy-dieselpunk graphic novel titled 'WYIT'. Miyazaki's Nausicaä with the anthropomorphic style of Disney's Robin Hood, and the friendship adventure tale of Terminator 2. from "Jihad" by Igor Baranko, one of my fav graphic novels. Baranko served in the Red Army in the 80s. After the USSR fell he went off to remote Buddhist temples in Siberia seeking the meaning of life, before eventually returning to make comics.
