Today's the 11 year anniversary of Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier EXCEED! A direct sequel to the first game and the prequel to Project X Zone. Just as good as the first with more more mechanics and crossover characters. The game got an English patch in 2019.

Today's the 12 year anniversary of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride in NA. A remake of the original with a new party member your main character can marry. Many consider V one of the best DQ games due to its strong story that has you go through childhood & adulthood.

Today's the 2 year anniversary of Catherine: Full Body. An enhanced port of the original that added new scenes, a new difficulty mode, and a new selectable heroine in Rin. Vincent has to choose between 3 girls with distinct personalities all while trying to not die in his dreams.

Today's the 22 year anniversary of Final Fantasy VIII! Squall is a cadet with the military force SeeD & sets off an a journey of growth after meeting a girl called Rinoa. The game uses a controversial 'draw' system where you have to draw out magic from enemies. Great FF entry.

Today's the 18 year anniversary of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. The game that started the Disgaea series, Laharl is a demon prince that plans to become overlord of the netherworld. Over the top dialogue, characters, and battle animations have won the series a cult following.

Today's the 11 year anniversary of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars in NA. A great crossover fighting game that didn't get the recognition it deserved. It had an allstar lineup of characters from Mega Man, Darkstalkers, Tekkaman, Onimusha, Gatchaman, & more.

Today's the 3 year anniversary of Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory in NA. It's a side story that takes place the same time as the events in the first game & adds more digimon, some quality of life improvements, & an entire new type of battle mode.

Today's the 1 year anniversary of the PS4 port of HARDCORE MECHA. A love letter to various mecha games & anime including Gundam, Super Robot Wars, Mazinger, & more. Gameplay is run & gun action akin to mega man or metal slug, and you can even fight friends in multiplayer brawls.
