A series I hated working on more than Transformers was Jem, also known as Jem and the Holograms. It ran from '85 to '88. It was about a record company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, and her band the Hologram. Too many wardrobe change to draw.
After finishing up on Disney's GARGOYLES as a storyboard artist, I moved on to JUNGLE CUBS for a few boards before leaving the studio to be the producer of THE MASK.
While on THE MASK I helped out on production on Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm back in '96. This series was based on the popular video game series. Produced by Threshold Entertainment and Film Roman, it aired on the USA Network's Action Extreme Team block for one season
My 1st time back in '96 as a animation producer was on Film Roman's THE MASK's 2nd season. After storyboarding on the 1st season and MIGHTY MAX. I got to work with such greats as Rob Paulsen and Tim Curry.
Mike Young's Horrible Histories was an animated children's television series based on the Terry Deary book series of the same name. After directing Voltron the 3D series I storyboarded for flash animation over 20 of the 26 episodes made. Fun series.
Back in'85 I was a freelancer for Disney TV on their Adventures of the Gummi Bears. It was fun and I loved the animation. Working on this series helped get me on their Gargoyles series.
Someone posted a style guide for the new HBO Max "Looney Tunes Cartoons" on Twitter, and I just had to share it here! Man, these look great!
