This isn't just done to add character - it helps our brains interpret outsized humanoids as plausible creatures, because it reflects our observations of what happens to the physiology of creatures that have evolved to be large in reality. 8/13
Then there's the scale of the human component, which looks to be double the size of a normal human at this scale. Almost always when an artist designs a plausibly oversized humanoid, they exaggerate the bone structure and muscles, making them bulkier and stockier. 7/13
