But they are too often used as plot device and Deus Ex Machina to explain absolutely anything in many of the new books (fall of the sangheili civilization, new techs, protection against the Guardians, etc).

I was kind of disappointed he didn't take part in the final fight against the Flood on H3 except as a fleet master, considering his story in the EU.

@SacredIconHalo @Halo We didn't see enought of the yanme'e's society (a queen and her royal guard could be a nice boss) and their mechanical capacities.
In gameplay, they deeply change any fight they come in, and on legendary they can rapidly become a pain in the ass. Hard to use for the dev teams.

He could both answer many questions about the Old War and be a massive threat forcing John and Cortana to work together in the end.
