Had a little draw with biro. Doing that more often the evenings. Evocative of teenage school nights when drawing was a bit of an escape.

Or Snowhite? Have you even tried to duet with them? Maybe that’s all they want.

Another work by Mavis Gensler, created c.1970, in the art therapy studio at Netherne hospital, where she was compelled to live.
This painting combines her two styles of work; the vibrantly colourful & the densely black, both of which always contain the motif of an eye.

Two women reading through a play onstage, created 1966 by Patricia Bentall, in the art therapy studio at Netherne hospital, where she was compelled to live.
Her small number of surviving works, illustrative in style, suggest perhaps she had some artistic training.
