See, this is why the Garfield comics are funnier when you remove Garfield's dialogue. Now you can only speculate on what's happening here:

Between the clearly reused character assets, Garfield's flat unchanging generic expression for all three panels, and the absolute lack of joke present in the dialogue, today's Garfield comic has me transcending
