Came recently in touch with the paleoart of Davide Bonadonna´s Morrison Sauropods.
Call me old fashioned, but i just love my sauropods just as ''default'' dinosaurs with a nice color pattern.
#Cervismas is calling for Cervalces scotti. Another crazy antlered deer with the name cause of the skull morphology. Nothing more to add here except the sources. 1.) Wikipedia, 2.) by @JoschuaKnuppe, 3.) by Velizar simeonovski in Bard 2008. #paleontology #scicomm #Cervid
#Cervismas post number three is uprising with this time two taxa: Sinomegaceros pachyosteus and Morenelaphus brachyceros. To avoid the clickbait, let’s begin with Sinomegaceros (1/?)
Time for #Cervismas entry number two of the advent group: the dwarf deer Candiacervus ropalophorus (de Vos 1984) from Southern Europe islands. Apart from beeing a good example of insular dwarfism, this critter shows really weird antlers.(1/2)
