Hey dudes, guess what? If you’re a really good artist, you might get a job at a studio drawing somebody else’s characters. Then, it’s your job to do fanart, literally. Showing the world that you can emulate styles effectively, and that you’re a versatile artist is very valuable.
I’ve been practicing drawing a lot, and I finally did a drawing from reference that I’m happy with. Quick, before the imposter syndrome sets in, validate me!
@RyRyCosmos I was literally working on this generic piece on the left when I saw your tweet and felt *personally* called out. A day later, thinking about it, I downloaded some movie stills and drew from reference. An hour and 15 minutes later I have one of my best portraits. Sage advice!
I’ll just post four because I kinda love doing lots of different stuff and don’t feel like I’ve quite nailed down my own personal style yet. 3D digital sculpt, 2D tradigital, photobashing together some thing abstract, and then pixel art. https://t.co/D8I69ugNUh
@charmwitch That’s great! Have you ever seen The Legend of Lemnear? It’s features some battle bikinis
I finally did it...a half decent anime face. I have a long way to go, but this is the least horrible sketch I've produced so far. I haven't actively drawn in an anime style since high school, and that was a long time ago.
@MonkeyMagic29 A lot of people forget that before he became an evil sword obsessed undead pirate murderer, he wrote some pretty famous novels.
@imonk562 Alright dude, I'm late to the game, but here is one pixel art. Kratos, from a screenshot I found online. I'll play the game one day!
Saw some artwork that reminded me of Ayami Kojima, so I tried to draw an Alucard/Sephiroth lookin character in a similar style.
