@AnotherKaiju @NateZilla10000 They were aware of the fact that the animal had a narrow snout, but I think the reason I remember hearing for the animatronic having a boxy head was to fit in the machinery.
@kulehatdude @kemkemenjoyer17 And of course, they even predicted the ontogeny of Trex way before Jane was discovered...
Somehow, they even have those big arms like those of the Bloody Mary specimen.
@kemkemenjoyer17 Short-necked sauropods. Though this happened the same year.
Really proud of how this is turning out.
The lower sail on the tail is definitely based on the elongated chevrons of Ichthyovenator. In life they would've been covered in muscules, so they wouldn't poke out.
Venatosaurus. The weird, spindly armed, naked raptor with crocodile-eye placement and mammalian skeletal structure, all for specializing in sauropod predation.
The new Mattel figure does not please me but it inspired me to draw Herrerasaurus.
If the proportions of Hartman's skeletal still hold up, it is one weirdly proportioned animal...
Pteranodon but its crest is covered in fluff.
@Beast_SculptKit Oh this is gorgeous.
One nitpick though, is this really A. fragilis? It has the more straighter cheek of A. jimmadseni.
