mildly fun fact: I was going back through old drawings again to find the first appearance of Nilla's checkerboard belt. It used to have circular studs that gradually morphed into square ones as I got sick of drawing them. This was the first time I filled in the checkered pattern!

Looking back at these (2007, 2011, 2014) and feeling nostalgic. I'm a little burned out on Pokémon these days, but I might just have to take another crack at this one.

they were both designed as sprites before I ever actually drew them, so the earliest "official art" of them both, if you wanna call it that, is from 2004. Meta was a Zero edit, but Nilla was from scratch. actually, prior to this, Meta was a Recca recolor, but I've since lost it.

I saw a friend share "post your OC glow-up" and I've never before passed up a chance to look back on the evolution of these two!

2007-2019

Benimaru is especially weird to me as a member of the main character's team. Maybe he's chillin' with Mai in the "too sexy for Smash" corner.

I'm positive I've done this four favorite games thing before, years ago, but I just can't seem to find it. I'm sure it wasn't the same four games anyway. Feels weird that two of these are so new. I'm confident about the top three but deciding on the fourth slot was agonizing.

This one's from 2018, when Mega Man 11 was new and Bowsette was on fire. Admittedly, this isn't one of my favorites, but I do still like it. Again, I think it's cute how cool they both think they look.
