@KennyLauderdal3 @invaderalex I say this without a shred of irony, Ramen Man is far less offensive to me than award winning comic, American Born Chinese which was hugely critically acclaimed, but in my eyes just reinforced heinous stereotypes that North Americans are comfortable with.
@StephenRayGarza I think it's cos he had the most memorable costume. That counts for a lot!
Mario has a similar personality to Samurai Jack. He's a good natured guy, he's strong, competent and really wants to help people. No one would say that Jack has little personality right? But Samurai Jack is seen as a more serious story, so people have different expectations.
@TITSUMAKl OK you got Tatsumaki as your avi, right? You know how exciting it is to see her abs and serratus anterior muscles through her clothes? Imagine feeling that way about an entire woman.
While many in the Anglosphere argue over if it's OK to enjoy Boy's Love comics if you're not gay, My Brother's Husband was published in Monthly Action alongside Dragon Maid.
I'm not even upset. Just looking forward to the day that Michael B Jordan discovers both Ashita No Joe and Osamu Dezaki. Expect some postcard memories in Creed 4!

Anyone know what this style of glasses are called? Or how they came to be associated with Chinese dudes?
@Towerofdoubt Aw yeah MOUSSE! THANK YOU! I was trying to think of weirdo Chinese anime/manga characters who have those glasses! Mousse is probably the most famous one!
