@CCTakato I remember being so shocked and delighted that they showed it on Toonami! I also remember wondering "wow how did they remove all the nipples in this scene?" But now that I think about it, I bet Gonzo planned ahead and made a nipple free cut anticipating the US release.

Blue Sub 6 had really fantastic human characters too, designed by Range Murata. He has an amazing talent for conveying different ethnicities in an anime style without relying on cheap 'othering' stereotypes. They feel like real individuals, but SUPER ANIME

It's interesting to see how quickly they mastered the process of digital animation on BS6. The first ep has some 3D that hasn't aged well alongside compositing that has. @LongGatedArms Like, take a look at this Soul Calibur 2 art. It's super tight. Very precise and clean. But when you zoom way in, the lineart is actually pretty sketchy!

Like, doesn't that dental mannequin look like it's straight out of Samurai Shodown 64? (which had such GORGEOUS ART OH MY GOD LOOK AT IT)
