Yay it’s #InternationalWomensDay2023! It would be easy to post a picture of our suffragette book and celebrate how far we’ve come.

The thing is, that to love is to live, and the conditions in which you can love and be loved are extremely pertinent

In our books, each chapter gets a decorative title page - here’s a selection from our latest, No Surrender.
They’re inspired by graphic art of the 1910s when the books were originally written - they’re a delicious (although maybe a bit rich) sorbet between bites of story
Sophie opened the script of No Surrender with “300-500 women work at weaving looms” so Scarlett drew them.
Zoom in to count them if you like, she says they’re all there, but one or two may have snuck out of shot
