FINAL TOUCHES! Go in with a lighter, more saturated color for the hair and just kinda highlight. Go back in and fix anything you notice, add fray hairs, highlight the eye like i did. All up to you!
(2/2) with a darker brown that helped blend the lines together. I use a smaller brush size so that it actually feels like hair. During this, I blend the hair line into the skin just to make sure it looks normal. I also blend the eyebrow in going between skin and hair color.
Then I move onto hair. This certain character has blonde streaks due to burn scars (That I haven't drawn here cus I'm lazy- also why his hair line is wacky) so I did those first. I used the dark of his hair to shade the blonde. To shade the brown, I went over all the lineart (1/2
Then highlights. Once all the darker shading is done, I take the original skin tone I used and go over places that would be lighter. If it's going over the normal skin tone (like the jaw line), that's when I grab a lighter skin tone than the base.
After that I color each thing on a different layer, keeping the base layer selected. (Here I only had hair so it's a lil easier). After that, on their respective layers, I do light shading, just enough to tell a difference and where I want shading to be.
