Blue Sky is reportedly trying to shop Nimona around to other animation studios to get the film finished and released somewhere else.

The film was reportedly around 75% completed in some fashion. Disney does not wish to continue it with Blue Sky shuttering.

This might be a hot take but I don't even mind that Patrick's parents have changed for The Patrick Star Show.

They were never staple characters, they appeared very briefly, SpongeBob has never been a continuity driven series, and frankly... the designs just look way more fun.

The Patrick Star Show has been officially greenlit by Nickelodeon to premiere in Summer 2021

The second spinoff series, it is also the second prequil, as it will focus on a younger Patrick Star living at home with his family as he makes a TV Show. It will be 2D Animated.
