@Studio_Supes I noticed this recently too, and made a meme about it in regards to X-Men. It came in handy when Bounding Into Comics brought up how Marvel Studios head called the X-Men Victoria Alonso name "outdated".
It's so funny whenever I see comic book "fans" (do notice the quotes) say that older X-Men stories from the '80s, '90s and '00s are "problematic", "outdated", "sexist" and so on.
I thought X-Men proves that comics were *always* woke and thus nothing has changed?😂
@literaturedevil This is how the people who say "Well, comics were ALWAYS political!" when trying to defend woke comics now, thinking they're being so clever, actually sound like.
@Studio_Supes Nah, there's only guy who can be called the Captain, even without "America": Steve Rogers.
And I'm pretty sure Captain Falcon is taken too...
Remember when the Amerindian Dani Moonstar "culturally appropriated" Scandinavia by becoming a full-on Valkyrie?
Man, how racially insensitive was that? Think of all the Scandinavian people this would trigger today! /s😂

A tradition of superhero comics is the civilian ladies who love a heroic man, who he'll protect from any threat. Mary Jane Watson, Lois Lane, Karen Page, Linda Park, Betty Ross etc.
For Rebound, this is Amber Song. 1/6

As for his relationship to Rebound, he's largely separate from him much of the time. But they do have a working senior-junior dynamic that's set up here, and I plan to expand upon later. 6/7
Rebound is a comic book series influenced by the Copper Age of Comics, and classic Spider-Man. It's designed to look like a comic from 1986. Stay tuned for more details...
