The Kickstarter is over! I can stop going on about it at last! Thanks to everyone who backed us and everyone who liked and/or retweeted my posts. It’s been very up and down, but after a slow first week, we ended up 160% funded with exactly 100 backers, so we’re happy. (1/5)
We also have an inside-back cover ('Bloody Lisa') painted by the great Phil Elliott (@philselliott). The original A3 painting is one of the rewards on offer with the Kickstarter and is still available... https://t.co/T779wX02Z5
Warning: Department of the Peculiar Goes POP! issue 2, by me and Rol Hirst, contains exploding musicians, flashbacks to the 1980s and moderate levels of ballroom dancing.
Here's what some people who aren't me or Rol have said about Department of the Peculiar... 7/8
DOTP Goes POP 2 has 32 B&W interior pages (30 story pages) plus colour covers. Issue 1 ended on a cliffhanger so I can't easily post any interior pages but here's a few panels, the back cover, and our inside back cover by @philselliott (original art available as a reward)... 3/8
The Department of the Peculiar Goes POP! 1&2 Kickstarter is still live and runs until June 1st... 1/8

Something I don't plug nearly enough is a 21-page strip called 'Love Her Madly' that I did for Vol.36 of David Lloyd's Aces Weekly, which is still available. I like the characters and have plans to continue their story at some point... https://t.co/dLNVHhJhW0 @acesweekly
One of the rewards on offer with the latest Department of the Peculiar Kickstarter is this original A3 painting of DOTP director Lisa Cole drenched in blood - our inside back cover - by the great Phil Elliott (@philselliott). https://t.co/awU402J2BO
1 week in and Goes POP! #2 is 58% funded. Rol and I are really pleased with this comic and want you to read it. Not so much that we are giving it away for free, but the 3 previous DOTP comics are currently free to download (link on the Kickstarter page): https://t.co/elX2lT25kn
