this funky critter uses its unusually high frequency for its size to detect any disturbances in the water made by fish to catch- hence the nickname fisherman bat!

and we kick this off with Euderma maculatum otherwise known as.. ✨the Spotted bat✨

primarily a solitary insectivorous microbat; their echolocation clicks can actually be heard by people, not many bats have such low frequencies!
