I had this album, and I think it’s a major reason why I like red/pink, purple and blue together. Certain shades and tones, obviously. Hadn’t seen the combination before. They’re conventionally not colours you put together, a bit like ‘Blue and green should never be seen’.

To be honest, most people will see the face first. It’s almost as if these things are a load of bunkum.

@Hockeyfrilla I’d say it’s lurid, but that has negative connotations. I love that kind of papal purple with red. It reminds me of a Cathy Dennis album I had.

Always found Susan Lynch strikingly beautiful. I think it’s partly due to the fact that she reminds me of Dante Rossetti’s paintings of Jane Morris and of a girl at junior school who gave me her La Isla Bonita vinyl single. She was quite boyish. Probably a lesbian now.
